So here we go again. On my own. Or something like that. ;-)
I've decided to do this blog thing again as I'm thinking of travelling a bit more in 2014 and started writing songs again. I might release something next year, at least I hope I will. My last E.P. "Songs From A Haze" has been out since December 2011 so it's been a while. I'm not just going to talk about music stuff on here though, there's too much other things going on. I don't have a band at the moment, so I can focus on some other things. Also I'm still helping my friend Chris arranging songs for ÆTAS. We'll see where that goes.
I've been on my own in Hamburg for a few days which was very relieving. Just walking 'round the places I've heard so much about, down to the port watching the waves come in. I also saw Bob Dylan play his songs, which was great. Talk about a living legend. He played mostl newer songs which I enjoyed a lot, I love this track "Pay In Blood" from his latest album. I bought myself a new Hohner MB there - haven't played one in about 3 years, so maybe I'll have the time to get back into that.
Yesterday I went to the Rattlesnake Saloon in Munich to see Brother Dege. I first heard about him when I watched the movie "Django Unchained" by Tarantino. One of Dege's songs, "Too Old To Die Young" is on the soundtrack. You should check it out, it's great. Wish I could play the Dobro like that. Anyway, he was very laid back and a surprisingly comfortable guy to talk to. Hope to see him again sometime. His new album "How To Kill A Horse" will be out soon by the way, check that out. ;-)
Daria did this lovely piece of art when she saw a recent photo of me. Awesome, thanks!
Tonight's Halloween so I'll probably spend the night watching horrormovies and strumming around on my guitar for a while. I wrote one a few days ago called "Autumn Mist". Maybe I'll record it someday, it captures the moon before Halloween pretty well I think. I'll probably keep the black/orange Halloween theme on here for the rest of the year, I like it a lot. It's my personal new year's eve.
Alright, that's all for now. Have a great weekend everyone, trick or treat.
Dani A.
